The City of Parksville provides a full range of municipal services as per the local government act of British Columbia. Governed by an elected mayor and council and administered by a professional staff, it is responsive to community needs, supportive of business development and has an active economic development program. Our current Community Economic Strategic Directions and Actions initiative, liaison with Film Nanaimo, and Council's annual Corporate Priorities are all aimed at building a vibrant economy to augment the current employment and business opportunities within the City of Parksville. Downtown revitalization, waterfront redevelopment, and encouragement of appropriate development are the City's major focus in this period of rapid growth.
