During the lovely Tuesday evenings of summer in Parksville, BC, the Summer by the Sea Street Market is the perfect weekly stop and shop for both locals and visitors! The street market is within walking distance of our stunning beach and community park, which hosts Parksville's annual BeachFest and Sand Sculpting Competition & Exhibition. As one of the largest markets on the island, in its 23rd year, our street market has fantastic participation of local merchants, as well as both full season and drop-in vendors from all over Vancouver Island, making for just the right amount of variety each week.
The merchants, vendors and food trucks offer a wide variety of healthy, decadent and down-right sinful food choices for both dining and take-home, as well as unique and fabulous fashion wares, arts and crafts, health and beauty products, kitchenware, garden and home decor, gifts, toys, pet products and so much more. With live music and entertainment adding to the ambience, it transforms Craig Street into an exciting place for a Tuesday evening stroll. Be prepared to love this market!
The “Summer by the Sea” Street Market began in 2004 with the purpose of encouraging local shopping in Parksville's downtown business district and has grown into a major summer attraction. This event, organized and managed by the Parksville & District Chamber of Commerce, runs for twelve consecutive Tuesday evenings from 6:00 PM to dusk, between mid-June and the end of August. The market's attendance easily exceeds 2,000 a night, making it quite an exciting place to be for all ages. We invite you to come and check it out.
Vendors interested in applying will have access to an online application, generally opening the end of March, on the Parksville & District Chamber of Commerce website.

How do I become a vendor?
Vendor applications open in March each year on the Parksville & District Chamber of Commerce website under Events. The Vendor Rental Agreement with full terms and conditions is also available at that time.
Is there parking available?
Street parking is available throughout downtown Parksville. Arrive early for the best spots, especially during July and August peak season.
