Getting here & around

By Ferry

BC Ferries operates routes from the mainland to Nanaimo (Departure Bay or Duke Point). Parksville is a 35-minute drive north of Nanaimo.

By Air

Fly into Nanaimo Airport (YCD) or Victoria International Airport (YYJ). Floatplane services also connect Vancouver to Nanaimo Harbour.

By Car

From Nanaimo, take Highway 19 north for approximately 35 km. The scenic Island Highway offers beautiful coastal and forest views.

Getting Around

A car is recommended for exploring the region. Local transit, bike rentals, and walking paths are available in town centers.
